Damilola Ademilokun

Damilola Ademilokun, a visionary in the fashion industry, wears multiple hats. She serves as a Fashion Recruiter, Career Coach, Business Consultant, and Project Manager. Her interests span across human resources, talent management, career development, and social development.
Damilola collaborates with Fashion Business/Brand owners, providing them with recruitment, retention, and upskill strategies to achieve their brand goals. She also focuses on building efficient teams and fostering a thriving work culture.

As the founder of Obsidian Advisory Africa, Damilola bridges the gap between fashion businesses and talent. Her company specialises in fashion recruitment and career coaching. Notably, she pioneered the Fashion Career Summit & Fair in Nigeria and Africa, successfully hosting two editions since 2022 with over 4,000 registered participants. Her partnerships with Jobberman and the Mastercard Foundation have further strengthened this initiative. The organization’s headquarters are situated in Lagos, Nigeria.

Damilola’s experience extends to working with Legendary Gold Limited, a leading African Fashion promotions company. She has also collaborated with various African Fashion-centric organisations’, including the Africa Fashion Business Summit, Africa Fashion Reception, Nigerian Fashion Week, and Nigerian Fashion Show, where she developed promotional programs for African Fashion brands.

Her academic journey includes being a Fellow at the Council for International African Fashion Education, focusing on Research and Project Management. Additionally, she authored the book titled “How to Break into Africa’s Fashion Industry.” Damilola holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Relations from Babcock University, Nigeria, and she is a certified scrum master. Furthermore, she obtained a Postgraduate Certification in Entrepreneurial Management from the Enterprise Development Center, Pan Atlantic University.
